Individual tuition

Individual tuition is tailored precisely to the needs and abilities of one particular person.
Everything the tutor does, from designing the curriculum and selecting teaching methods to choosing appropriate assessment - is designed to produce the best possible outcomes for one individual.

Is there a particular intellectual skill that you wish to acquire? Individual tuition can be designed to develop specific skills, according to the needs of the client. Goals may be set by the client, but Skills Doctor can also diagnose and treat any skills deficits you may have.
The tutor constantly monitors and evaluates the student, and makes any necessary adjustments.
Individual learning styles and specific learning issues can often be accommodated.

Individual tuition is a premium service, with a relatively high cost per student, because all the tutor's time and attention are devoted to one person.

Small group tuition (from 2 to 8 students)
-
With very small groups the teacher can still attend to the needs and abilities of individual students, and provide lots of individual attention.
-
In small groups, students can learn by interacting with each other in addition to working with the teacher, which is often very effective.

-
Flexible pricing: sessions are charged at a fixed hourly rate, which is divided equally by the number of students. So you can reduce the hourly rate you pay by learning with friends or colleagues. This allows customers to control the balance between individual attention and price.

Taught courses (from 9 to 20 students)
With larger groups, the tutor cannot tailor teaching methods and course content to individuals. However, courses can be tailored to groups so long as they share the same learning goals.
Taught courses have a fixed content, agreed in advance with clients, and are designed to be delivered over a fixed period (usually 10 or 20 weeks). These courses combine whole-group teaching with group work and individual attention.
The small size of the group means that each student will receive some personal attention from the tutor during every class, and the progress of each student is constantly monitored to ensure that they are able to keep up with the pace of the group. Students often benefit from learning together through group activities.
